My biggest LinkedIn flops had this one thing in common…
I work in marketing, so all my content should be about marketing, right?
Last week, I reviewed my 100 most recent LinkedIn posts.
Here is one thing that my worst-performing posts had in common: They were all about niche marketing topics.
While I could talk about marketing all day, most of my ideal clients don't feel the same way.
Their focus isn’t on mastering marketing. Instead, they are thinking about:
✔️Generating more leads
✔️Closing more deals
✔️Scaling their business
Marketing is just the tool they hope will help them solve those problems. Not the problem itself.
To resonate, we shouldn’t lead with the solution. We need to start with our customer’s problem or desired outcome instead.
It’s not about what we want to say – it’s about what they need to hear.
What’s one problem your audience is facing that you could start talking about today?
Until next Monday, with warm regards,
